Worm Diseases |
| |
Flukes and tapeworms are two of
the most common parasitic worms which infect lizards.
They inhabit the inner body of the lizard and
live off of it. Since the worms make their home
on the inside of the lizard it can be difficult
to pinpoint the cause of the sickness and especially
difficult to determine the type of worm that has
infected the lizard. For this reason a fecal exam
is almost always required before medication can
be prescribed. Of course this will require you
to take your lizard to your local veterinarian
for further treatment.
