Ticks |
| |
Ticks are very common in lizards.
Ticks attach themselves to the host lizard and
suck the blood from it.
The simple presence of ticks on a lizard is not
life-threatening, however the longer they are
allowed to persist the more damage can be done
to your lizard.
Although pulling the ticks off the body of your
lizard may seem like a good idea, it is not as
this likely will lead to infection. Neguvon is
one of a few solutions that can be used to kill
the ticks and eliminate the spread of them. Consult
your veternarian or pet store for the appropriate
solution to use as Neguvon cannot be used on all
lizards.
