Shedding Problems |
| |
| Most healthy lizards will never have
a problem while shedding. The most common causes
for shedding problems include inappropriate diets
and a lack of bathing facilities. The best way
to assist your lizard in removing retained skin
is by bathing it in warm water and gently drying
it with a towel. If this does not work after a
period of a few days take your lizard to a veterinarian
who can properly remove the retained skin.
Caution: Never try to remove retained skin by
pulling on it or otherwise using force as this
can cause wounds on the surface of the lizard
which can lead to serious infections and unnecessary
pain for your lizard. |
