Saltwater fish are not suitable for lizards as they contain far too much salt which a lizards' digestive system is not capable of digesting. If you decide to feed your lizard freshwater fish, feed it the whole fish. That way your lizard will obtain all the necessary vitamins that a fish can offer it. Be sure to only feed your lizard fish which you can ensure do not come from polluted water as this can transfer the pollutants to your lizard.
