| Humidity: |
Keep the humidity level at approximately 60% in
the habitat of your Emerald Swift. |
| |
|
| Lighting: |
You will need a good source of full-spectrum light
that contains both UVA and UVB light rays. This
light should be provided to your Emerald Swift for
approximately 12 to 14 hours per day. |
| |
|
| Physical Design: |
Since these lizards love to climb they will need
a variety of plants and branches throughout their
enclosure that will allow them to do this. |
| |
|
| Size: |
An aquarium tank that is at least 30 gallons in
volume will be needed for the Emerald Swift. |
| |
|
| Substrate: |
Since the Emerald Swift enjoys burrowing in the
wild you should give them a substrate that allows
them to do this in captivity. |
| |
|
| Temperature: |
75 degrees F to 80 degrees F is the perfect temperature
for Emerald Swifts during the day. You will also
want to provide them with a basking spot that reaches
95 degrees F. During the night the temperature should
drop to between 65 degrees F and 70 degrees F. |
